My Work
Over the course of my ten-year career, I have managed a variety of branding, communications, and marketing projects. Below are a few case studies of some of my most notable work. More professional examples are available upon request.
In-depth case studies coming soon.
01
Crisis Communications
During Sonoma County's two-week wildfire, Tubbs Fire, I served as the PIO for the only remaining open hospital in the area. As PIO, I worked with hospital leadership from the command center, writing important operational communications for internal stakeholders and updates to the community about how to receive care. I aligned with external partners (e.g., fire department and county officials) and I also held a press conference for national media outlets.
02
Marketing
This was the first campaign of my career. I led the campaign from strategy through to execution, measurement, optimization and reporting. This campaign carries immense personal significance as it paid homage to the hospital where I was born. It was particularly poignant as it focused on promoting oncology services, a cause that deeply resonated with me due to the profound impact of cancer on my loved ones. Ad examples can be found here.
03
Branding
I managed the marketing and brand integration of Stanford Health Care- ValleyCare into Stanford Medicine’s broader portfolio. This included leading cross-functional teams for various large-scale projects, such as the integrated strategic plan (ISP) and updated website platform.
04
Creating Strong Teams
Throughout my career I've worked on numerous high-performing teams and have had the joy of working with incredibly talented people. I enjoy developing talent by identifying opportunities for growth, providing mentorship, measuring progress and ultimately promoting individuals. As the Director of Communications and Marketing at MBAKS, I led a multidisciplinary team of ten, supported their development, resulting in five promotions.
05
Strategic Communications
I've led a multitude of strategic communications initiatives, covering a variety of topics (e.g., RIFs, mergers and new partnerships).
06
Media Relations
I have nearly a decade of experience acting as the media contact for numerous brands. In my current role as an account manager at a PR agency, I lead PR activities for seven accounts across various industries (e.g., SaaS, healthcare, medical devices, aerospace, transportation and infrastructure) and geographies. I work with national and international media to secure positive stories for each of my accounts.
07
Reputation Management
I have led various reputation management initiatives. For instance, while I worked at St. Joseph Health, I led a campaign to enhance the reputation of two of the organizations' hospitals, which the community perceived to be bad. I started by conducting focus groups, identifying patterns in perception, working with leadership to improve operations, and developed and implemented a communication and marketing campaign which highlighted patient and physician testimonials.
08
Change Management
I have led multiple change management initiatives including mergers, acquisitions, rebrands, organizational restructures, and more. For each of these programs, I have partnered closely with senior leadership to understand the impact and create communications that distilled pertinent information, augmented for individual audiences.
